Sisters Network Dallas is a community-based 501 (c) (3) organization comprised of African American breast cancer survivors. Founded in June of 2005, they saw an urgent need to unite with other survivors, communities, and health care professionals in the fight against breast cancer. The organization’s purpose is to save lives and provide a broader scope of knowledge that addresses the breast cancer survivorship crisis affecting African American women. Sisters Network Dallas is an affiliate of Sisters Network® Inc. a national organization with more than 40 affiliate survivor-run chapters nationwide with a total of over 3,000 members.
